Mr. Rasheed Talal Arekat

Deputy Chief of Mission

Mr. Rasheed Arekat assumed his duties as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Tokyo, on August 15th 2019.

He was the Deputy Director of the Arab and Middle East Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, from October 2018 until August 2019.

Mr. Arekat has been a Diplomat since 2002, and he served in Jordanian embassies in Ankara, Beirut, and Spain.
He holds a Master’s Degree in International Conflict Resolution from the Institute of Diplomacy in Jordan.

Mr. Mohammad Lutfi Al Khalidi 


Mr. Mohammad Al Khalidi joined the Embassy in October 2020, and is a career diplomat since 2007. He served between 2009-2013 at the Embassy of Jordan in Kuwait, and in 2015 at the Embassy in Teheran as Deputy Head of Mission, and Chargé d’affaires a.i. from April 2016 till August 2019.

Mr. Khalidi started his career in 2004 in the field of Museums. In 2006, he became the curator of the Dead Sea Museum at the Dead Sea Panoramic Complex.

Mr Khalidi holds a Master Degree in “Business Administration / Marketing” from The Arab Academy for Financial and Banking Sciences;  and a Bachelors of Science in “Cultural Heritage Management and Museum Sciences” from Queen Rania Institute of Tourism and Heritage at the Hashemite University in Jordan.

Mr. Talal Masarweh

Third Secretary

Mr. Talal Masarweh is in charge of Consular Affairs since January 2019, and has been posted in at the Embassy of Jordan in Tokyo in August 2018.

Prior to joining the Embassy, Mr. Masarweh served in the Private office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. Mr. Masarweh joined the Foreign Service in 2016.

Mr. Masarweh holds a Masters Degree in International Relations and Bachelor Degree in Economics from Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris. He is fluent in Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

Mr. Bassam Fahed Falah Al-Faleh

Military Attaché

Brigadier General Bassam Fahed Falah Al-Faleh is the Defense, Military Attaché at the Embassy of Jordan in Japan. Prior to assuming his duties in Japan, BG Al-Faleh served in several key leadership and administrative positions throughout his career that started in the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army in the year 1985.

BG Al-Faleh holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering, and a Master’s degree in Management and Strategic Studies, and Master’s Degree in Business Administration. In addition, BG Al-Faleh holds a Diploma in Military Science, and a Diploma in Management of National Resources.
