Ms. Salma ElTaweel

Counsellor

Ms. ElTaweel joined the Embassy in August 2022, and is a career diplomat since 2004. she served in several Jordanian missions since that date, starting from the Embassy of Jordan in Rome, The Jordanian Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva , the Embassy of Jordan in Moscow as Deputy Head of Mission, from August 2017 to August 2018, and then as political officer till 2021.

Ms. ElTaweel started her career in 2001 in the field of Journalism. News editor and reporter for Albawabeh.com and then went on to join The star a prominent Jordanian weekly and did free-lance work till 2004 when she joined the ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ms. ElTaweel holds a Master Degree in “International Studies and Diplomacy” from The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) / London University;  and a Bachelor degree in “English Literature ” from The University in Jordan.

Mr. Omar Alhazaimeh 

Diplomatic Attaché 

Omar Alhazaimeh is a diplomat currently serving as the Consul / Political Officer at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Tokyo, Japan, a role he assumed in August 2024. Prior to joining the Embassy and since October 2021, Mr. Alhazaimeh worked as a diplomatic attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Amman, Jordan in the capacity of Desk Officer for USA, Canada, and Mexico in the American Affairs Directorate.

Mr. Alhazaimeh holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Pecs, Hungary, completed in 2018.

Mr. Alhazaimeh is fluent in English and Arabic (mother tongue) and speaks German and basic Hungarian.

Brigadier General Jihad Hussien Hafed Al-Nua’imy

Military Attaché

Brigadier General Jihad Hussien Hafed Al-Nua’imy, born on January 1, 1968, in Al-Mafraq, Jordan, is a distinguished officer in the Jordanian Armed Forces. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and began his military career on August 15, 1992. Over the years, he has served in various leadership and technical roles, with a specialization in mechanical engineering and military maintenance.

Throughout his career, Brigadier General Al-Nua’imy has commanded several key military workshops and maintenance units, including the King Hussein Main Workshops and the Royal Maintenance Corps. In addition to his leadership roles, he has held notable administrative positions such as Head of Production and Inspection, and Chief of Technical Services.

Brigadier General Al-Nua’imy has also participated in international peacekeeping missions, most notably in the Ivory Coast. He has completed numerous specialized training programs in Jordan, the United States, and Germany, focusing on areas such as security, defense management, and cybersecurity.
