On Monday August 7th Ambassador Lina ANNAB met with the Chairman of Hiroshima Prefectural Council Mr. NAKAMOTO Takashi. The meeting outlined potential opportunities for collaboration, including the celebrations intended for 2024 for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Jordan and Japan. Chairman NAKAMOTO expressed readiness to explore various venues of cooperation to strengthen and deepen relations between Hiroshima and Jordan.
Following the meeting with Chairman NAKAMOTO, ANNAB met with members of the Hiroshima Prefectural Assembly. The meeting covered a presentation on Jordan and the potential cooperation in the economic, cultural and academic fields. Representatives of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and of local businesses in Hiroshima attended the meeting.
