Our friends from Noshiro 💕
The mayor of Noshiro city Mr Saitō Shigenobu and an accompanying delegation just concluded a 3-day visit to Jordan. It was their first time to visit our country. They toured Petra, the Dead Sea and several archaeological and touristic sites in Amman including the Jordan Museum .
Noshiro City is Jordan’s Host Town for the Olympics and Paralympics -Tokyo 2020**
During this visit the delegation met with HRH Prince Faisal, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee and member of the International Olympic Committee. They also met with various stakeholders and officials including the Chief of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority Dr Suleiman Farajat and others.
Jordan’s partnership with Noshiro has been growing steadily and beautifully since August 2019. It has proven to be one of the greatest ways to build bridges of friendship and understanding.
We are so delighted that Mayor Saito and our other guests who included a staff member from the Secretariat of the Headquarters for Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games at the Prime Ministry got the chance to marvel at the beauty of Jordan and to experience the captivating hospitality and kindness of Jordanians.
People to people diplomacy is one of the most affective and effective ways to get to know one another and to nurture and sustain compassionate, peaceful and genuine relations.
I am extremely grateful to all who have made this visit a successful one starting with Jordan Olympic Committee, Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA),
The Jordan Museum, the Movenpick hotels in Jordan, The Jordan Museum, Zara Investment Holding, and the embassy of Japan in Jordan, to name a few.
A big thanks goes out to the great staff at the embassy of Jordan in Japan who worked relentlessly in preparing for this visit.
