Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh met on Friday February 16with Japan’s Speaker of theHouse of Representatives at the Diet, Mr. NUKAGA Fukushiro.
In marking the 70th anniversary on the establishment of diplomatic relations, the meeting highlighted the robust historical ties and strategic partnership between Jordan and Japan, which have flourished over 70 years of diplomatic relations.PM Al Khasawneh expressed Jordan’s commitment to strengthening the friendly bilateral relations on all levels including parliamentary affairs.
Prime Minister Al Khasawneh extended condolences to Japan for the recent earthquake, reaffirming Jordan’s readiness to provide assistance under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Jordan to Japan, Lina Annab, and Ministers of Digital Economy, Entrepreneurship, Investment, Kholoud Al-Saqqaf, Planning, and International Cooperation, Zeina Touqan.
Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh accompanied by an official delegation including Ministers of Digital Economy, Entrepreneurship Mr. Ahmad Al Hanandeh, Minister of Investment, Ms. Kholoud Al-Saqqaf, Minister of Planning, and International Cooperation, Ms. Zeina Touqan, are on an official visit to Japan that started on February 15 until February 19th, 2024. The visit is intended for discussions with Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and the cabinet ministers and senior officials on bilateral relations, and ways to support and enhance them in all fields. The year 2024 marks the 70th anniversary on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Jordan and Japan.
